TOPE TEDELA

Christopher Temitope Tedela (professionally known as Tope Tedela) is a Nigerian actor and broadcaster who works across various media.
His foray into professional acting begun when he was cast as Julian on Popular TV Drama: Edge of Paradise while he was attending University of Lagos, Nigeria.  He went on to feature in Niyi Towolani’s Twisted in 2007 and after a hiatus to complete his degree, he returned and has appeared in several productions, on screen and on stage.


For his portrayal of Lala in A Mile From Home, He emerged Best Actor In A Drama at the 2nd Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) held in March 2014. He was also nominated in the same role as Most Proming Actor for the 2014 Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA).
On stage, he has appeared in Ola Rotimi’s Man Talk, Woman Talk and Diagnosis directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa.  His credits on screen include roles in the multiple award-winning television drama Super Story, James Omokwe’s Awakening, Moses Inwang’s Torn, Apostates and soon to be released Supernatural Thriller film, In My Father's House directed by Jimi Odumosu. His filmography also includes Emerald, Heaven, The Hurrying Man, Tweeters and more.
Tope Tedela trained at Film Factory in Lagos under the leadership of Director 'Mak Kusare and has continued to take acting classes. As a broadcaster, he has presented shows on UnilagFm and CoolFM, both in Lagos. He was also a newscaster at the Nigerian Television Authority.
Tedela, who is an avid guitarist and occasional model is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and will be sharing his experience of how he discovered acting and how you can succeed as an actor as well.
