The 14th LAGOS COMIC CON­VEN­TION (LCC2015) will hold on Fri­day 18th and Sat­ur­day 20th of Sep­tem­ber at the AQUATIC HOTELS pop­u­larly known as WATER-​PARKS, by Toyin street, Ikeja, Lagos, Nige­ria. LCC2015 promises to be big­ger and bet­ter this year with an expected guest of over 10,000 par­tic­i­pants and ven­dors.
LCC2015 is an annual youth cen­tred event that began in 2012 with the vision of cre­at­ing a mar­ket place for ven­dors in the comics, ani­ma­tion, gam­ing indus­try and other children/​youth tar­geted indus­try. Cur­rently the event is the biggest and only inter­na­tion­ally rec­og­nized comic con­ven­tion in the whole of Africa and ranked along­side the likes in India, Dubai and France.
This year we hope to build on what we have done in the past 3 years and make it a spec­ta­cle for all.

WHY LCC2015 IS A MUST FOR YOU?

LCC2015 is the only and major Comic Con­ven­tion in the whole of West Africa where major play­ers in the comics, ani­ma­tion, gam­ing, film and children/​youth mer­chan­dis­ing have a chance to show­case their goods and ser­vices to the rest of the world. The LCC is a once in a year oppor­tu­nity for net­work­ing and busi­ness trans­ac­tion in the cre­ative indus­try. LCC is a mar­ket place for the cre­ative indus­try and is tar­geted at chil­dren and youth as well. This year we are expect­ing an atten­dance of over 10,000 guest from pri­mary, sec­ondary and ter­tiary insti­tu­tions. Last year we had par­tic­i­pants from Abuja, Porthar­court, Enugu and even Ghana.

WHO SHOULD EXHIBIT AT LCC2015?

Well every­one who has some­thing to sell or show to chil­dren and the youth mar­ket. Over 5000 chil­dren are expected this year and over 5000 youth as well. The Lagos Comic Con­ven­tion cre­ates the needed plat­form for stake­hold­ers in the cre­ative indus­try to show­case, net­work and expand their client base. If you are a Comic cre­ator, pub­lisher, Illus­tra­tor, dig­i­tal painter, Ani­ma­tor, Graphic artist, Writer, film maker, Game arcade owner, gad­gets and retailer in chil­dren and youth prod­ucts. If what you sell or pro­duce is for chil­dren or youth mar­ket then you should be exhibit­ing at the LCC2015.

Atten­dance to The LCC 2015 is free and open to: Gen­eral Pub­lic, Chil­dren, Young adults, Par­ents, Pub­lic and Pri­vate schools, Cre­ative stu­dios, advert agen­cies, edu­ca­tional, pro­fes­sional, Pub­lish­ers, Book­shops and book dis­tri­b­u­tion out­lets, artists, ani­ma­tors, etc. We have about 50 schools from lagos bring­ing a stu­dent base of about 5000 stu­dents com­ing to grace this year’s event and over a 100 ven­dors dis­play­ing their goods and ser­vices in all the var­i­ous gen­res we have this year.
